The working approach

Clarity at every stage.

A focused engagement starts with the decision you need to make and ends with evidence your team can use.

01

Define the decision

Agree the business problem, boundaries and evidence needed before work begins.

02

Investigate the cause

Compare configuration and behaviour. Separate confirmed findings from assumptions.

03

Make the correction

Agree the change, rehearse it where appropriate and record the test outcomes.

04

Leave a clear handover

Give your team the evidence, owners and next steps needed to carry on.

Before the work begins

A scope we can
both point to.

  • The business question, included environments and representative scenarios
  • Access, information and client involvement required
  • Deliverables, acceptance criteria, fees and timing
  • How changes, approvals and remaining risks will be handled
Working with your team

Independent insight.
Shared understanding.

I can work alongside your administrators, developers, delivery partner and business owners.

Findings distinguish observed evidence from hypotheses. Changes follow the agreed approval process; production investigation is read-only unless a specific change is authorised.

Handover includes the evidence, agreed actions and retest criteria. A client owner remains responsible for business acceptance and release decisions.

Practical questions

Before we begin.

Can we start with one problem?

Yes. A named release, failing journey or recurring defect is often the best starting point. If the problem is broader, an org diagnostic can establish priorities.

Do you implement the fixes?

Implementation can be included in a scoped engagement or agreed after investigation. The proposal makes that distinction clear, including the verification and handover.

How are fees and timing agreed?

After an initial discussion of the problem, access and scope, I prepare a proposal with fees, milestones and included work. There is no generic price that assumes every org is the same.

What access do you need?

Only the access relevant to the agreed work. We confirm environments, permissions and information-handling expectations before investigation begins.

What if the cause cannot be confirmed?

The handover explains what was tested, what was ruled out, remaining hypotheses and the evidence needed next. An investigation does not turn uncertainty into an unsupported guarantee.

Can you provide continuing support?

Ongoing operational assurance is available as a separately scoped engagement with agreed cadence, response hours and capacity.

AI, with clear boundaries

Expert-led.
Accountable to you.

AI can support the investigation. I remain responsible for the analysis, recommendations and work delivered.

How AI and your information are handled ↗

Your information. Agreed choices.

Before AI is used with your information, we agree what it may access and where it may be processed. Options include local models, your approved AI environment, or a scoped approach without generative AI.

ContextDigger can help organise the code and documentation supplied to an assistant. Findings are checked against source evidence, and changes follow your approval and testing process.

A useful place to start

Bring the problem.
We’ll define the next step.

A release that feels uncertain. A journey that keeps breaking. An org nobody fully understands.
